God loves you unconditionally, and nothing can change that. Out of this love, He sent Jesus to die for our sins, bridging the gap between us and God, and rose again, defeating sin and death. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Salvation is God’s free gift, not earned by works. You can accept it by trusting in Jesus’ death and resurrection and committing to live by His Word, starting right now, wherever you are.
With a heart open to His love and ready to follow Him, you’re just a few simple steps away from entering a relationship with Jesus Christ. Trust in His death and resurrection, commit to living by His Word, and take that step today, right where you are.
If you’re ready to take this step, then pray the prayer below. There’s nothing special about these particular words, so feel free to make them your own. What’s important is that you’re acknowledging your genuine need for God, your belief in Jesus, and making a commitment to Him.
God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I believe that Jesus is the only way, truth, and life. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me, that He shed His precious blood, and He paid for my sins. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead, so right now I can receive Him as the Lord of my life. I thank you for hearing my prayer. Help me to live a life that brings you glory. My past is gone, my sins are forgiven.
Amen.
When you make the decision to follow Christ, you get a new beginning. You’re not just a better version of yourself; you’re new. For whatever has held you back or felt like a cycle of bondage or shame for you, there’s healing and freedom in Christ. As a follower of Jesus, you’re no longer walking through life alone. You have God’s presence with you every step of the way.
